Fifteenth SEMcamp behind us
On April 24 in the auditorium named after Prof. Lech Falandysz at Lazarski University held another SEMcamp. The SeoFly team also appeared on it. No wonder with, because the program looked really interesting not only for the PPC department, but also SEO.
Caesar Glijer and his “white hat”
Although his presentation “A little more than 10 SEO tips for Webmasters from Google for 2014 ” was not the first, Cezary Glijer definitely stole the show. This is because during his presentation he managed to combine into a coherent whole an element of, let’s call it that, folklore with a good dose of solid knowledge about what’s “squeaky and squeaky this year” in this whole SEO thing.
The show was helped by the white hat (cylinder?) on his head, because, as Caesar himself stated in SEO, he is rather on the “bright side of power,” and bottles of Chilean wine to be won for the “active,” while the content part was supported by Matt Cutts – although the video of him pretending to be, um…, a dinosaur would rather be counted as part of the ludic part. Mariusz Gąsiewski and Przemek Modrzewski, or what those from PPC like best
Mariusz Gąsiewski and Przemek Modrzewski have traditionally prepared for the next SEMcamp a solid “pill” of knowledge on selected aspects of running PPC campaigns in Google AdWords.
Mariusz addressed the issue of targeting campaigns on mobile devices. It was definitely not a “lesson” for beginners, but the clarity of the lecture and the examples presented will certainly be very helpful for those who want to deepen their knowledge on this subject.
Przemek, on the other hand, focused on search engine remarketing (RLSA), which, reportedly, is heavily underestimated by those running AdWords campaigns. And this is a mistake, because, according to the presenter’s assurances, with a well-constructed campaign we can count on considerable profits. All it takes is a little analytics and focus on the basic goals we want to achieve (the so-called German approach to the matter :).
Let’s face Universal Analytics at SEMcamp
This is the title of a presentation by Pawel Matkowski (Regional Google Analytics Expert from Google). A solid dose of knowledge about what Analytics Universalis was, what it currently is and what it is intended to be. Lots of technical details, which for the average user of this Google statistical system were probably not fully understood, but for “hard users” certainly provided a big boost to their work with Analytics.
How do you get much more by doing much less?
The title of Gregory Mogilewski’s presentation speaks for itself. Everyone would like it, not just SEMcamp participants.
As it turns out, thanks to the Pareto principle, this is possible. Since 80% of our profits/income are generated by 20% of our customers, we should focus on them in our work. The thing can be extended to other areas of our lives as well.
It reportedly works.
