Additional charges for GoogleAds from November 2020
As of November 1, 2020, Google has introduced a mandatory additional fee for display ads in the UK, Austria and Turkey.
This means that regardless of the billing country, additional fees will be charged for all ads displayed in the aforementioned countries. Google justifies the new fee with increased operating costs in these countries.
Additional costs for Google Ads – how are they charged and how much are they?
According to Google, the new charges are based on ad impressions or clicks within the three countries mentioned above.
Fees will be added to the cost of the campaign once at the end of each month or, in the case of manual payments, after the payment has been used in full.
The additional rate varies from country to country. In Turkey and Austria, a 5% fee will be added to each invoice. In the UK, the fee will be 2% of the budget.
It is worth noting that in the case of automatic payments, additional fees will be taken into account when determining the proposed budget. If you opt for manual payments, be aware that the additional fees generated during the last campaign will be taken out of the next payment to your account.
