Google’s new GAD
New parameter in URLs – “gad”
“Google is using the gad URL parameter to identify URLs from ad clicks and improve the accuracy of conversion measurement. Every URL originating from a Google ad now has &gad=1
in the final address . This parameter cannot be customized and is the same for all advertisers and campaigns.”
The new ‘gad’ parameter is used to identify URLs derived from ad clicks and improve the accuracy of ad conversion measurement.
The ‘gad’ parameter will be gradually introduced in the coming months. Some advertisers may not yet find the reptile parameter in their URLs.
