Artificial intelligence in copywriting
What is artificial intelligence?
Artificial intelligence, or artificial intelligence in English, is referred to by the acronym AI. The term was coined by John McCarthy, an American computer scientist who was awarded the Turing Prize, for outstanding achievements in computer science. Artificial intelligence is increasingly creeping into our lives. Often we are not even aware that it helps us every day. Just searching for information on the Internet or making online purchases, we owe it to artificial intelligence. The world of systems that mimic the human brain is developing at an alarming rate. The Chinese recently announced that a humanoid robot endowed with artificial intelligence will take over the top management position at NetDragon Websoft. Humans will only be a useful tool to help make decisions1. As you can see, technological development has made it possible to replace humans with machines. There is a risk that some professions will cease to exist.
How does AI write texts?
GPT-3 is the machine learning model most commonly used today for automated content creation. All you have to do is ask a question and the text will be created before our eyes in no time.
As you know, after the algorithm update, Google is paying more attention to the merit of articles to provide users with the best quality content that answers their questions. The era of so-called clickbait is slowly coming to an end. Will machine-generated content be valuable for SEO? Time will verify.
Will AI replace humans in content writing?
Can artificial intelligence replace copywriters? According to some experts, it is possible, because AI can analyze large amounts of data and draw conclusions from it about what content is most effective. Others argue that copywriters have nothing to fear, as it is their creativity and ability to produce interesting and engaging texts that makes them irreplaceable.
What is it really like?
At this point, text generators are just learning. With longer texts, there are minor linguistic errors, repeated sentences or incorrect facts. Therefore, human control is essential to create content that is factually and linguistically correct. Especially with such a difficult language as Polish, the content creation mechanism is severely flawed. Therefore, it cannot be trusted completely. It is worth mentioning here that the science or machine knowledge (if you can call it that) in some content creation tools has stopped at a certain stage and no longer scans new content created on the Internet – hence content errors can occur.
Can artificial intelligence help copywriters write texts?
The word “help” is key here. Nowadays, content creation tools are a great solution when, we don’t know how to start writing an article or we are looking for inspiration on how to approach a topic.
Example:
As you can see, AI can create quite interesting content, although it is not top-notch. It needs minor correction and further development, which will create content that makes sense in terms of content. This is a good step to get inspired. Tools that create text can be very helpful for copywriters.
Just to be fair, I’m informing you that one of the paragraphs was written by an artificial intelligence, creating content 🙂 Can you guess which one?
